In this section of the blog, I have to write what I am about…I am about six feet, one and one half inches tall. I am about to embark on a life-changing mission to change the way I eat and live, with the goal of climbing Mount Monadnock when I turn fifty next year. I am about to go wash up for dinner. I am about to ah..ahh…ahhchoo…sneeze. I am about to stop writing.

I know you will reach your goals Rick and make it to the top! Don’t make me sick the Scott sisters on you during your climb. That might break a record for the fastest New Hampshire run in ages! Pat

Hey there! I’m a cashier at Stop and Shop in Seekonk and saw your shirt today. I’m checking out your blog, and it’s great. Keep up with the good work. I went to Mt. Monadnock three times when I was younger. I remember the white dot trail. I had interesting times there to say the least. I learned after the first time to wear jeans not sweatpants, and to bring extra pants once you rip yours while sliding down the rock from the top. I ripped my pants 2 out of the 3 times I climbed.
I also remember the McDonalds trips we took after we got off the mountain and the rides home. I have pics from my first trip on Mt. Monadnock on facebook. I was like 8 or 9, somewhere around there.
I hope you take another trip soon. I wish I was in shape to climb again. I haven’t climbed in about 10 years. Good luck. I’m sure I’ll see you again.
